What is emulation?
Emulation is a method that allows programs, games, or software applications to run on a system that is normally not compatible. For example, the SDVFR application was originally developed to run on the Android operating system, which is used on smartphones and tablets. However, by using an emulator, it is possible to run SDVFR, which is designed for Android, on Windows or laptop computers as well. I personally use LDPlayer as an emulator, but there are other options available. You can search using keywords such as "Android emulator for Windows" to find others.
You can download the latest version here : https://fr.ldplayer.net/other/version-history-and-release-notes.html
Or the version that is on my server, approximately 600 MB in size, dated May 16, 2024 : LDPlayer_9.0.69.0
- After downloading and installing the LDPlayer emulator, you will be asked to provide your email address or phone number at the time of launch.
It is recommended to enter the email address associated with your Google account.
During registration, you may see strange characters instead of the letters you typed, in which case you can note your email address in a text editor such as Microsoft Word or other, and then copy and paste it to avoid typing errors. - Next, enter your password : enter the one for your Google account as well.
- When LDPlayer is launched, in the search bar, type SDVFR to download and install this application.
- Then, you just need to launch it !
Virtualization, also known as VT, allows your personal computer to simulate a different operating system such as Android™ or Linux.
This technique provides the emulator with an "isolated" environment that is separate from the main operating system, allowing it to access more computing resources and operate up to 10 times faster.
The virtualization process takes place in the computer's BIOS, where the feature may be enabled by default in some cases.
If not, it is possible to access the BIOS and enable virtualization by following the instructions on this page, which may vary depending on your computer model.
